The perfect pass for a trip to Jungfraujoch, Harder Kulm or Grindelwald-First

From 6 June 2020, guests can once again travel to Jungfraujoch, Harder Kulm or Grindel-wald-First. Anyone spending the summer with Jungfrau Railways in the Jungfrau region can now also take advantage of the new Jungfrau Corona Pass, which permits them to take an unlimited number of trips along the routes. The Schynige Platte Railway will commence summer service on 1 July 2020.

It’s been a long wait for good news regarding the excursion routes in the Jungfrau Region. The Federal Council today (Wednesday 27 May 2020) gave the green light for the re-launch of the tourist railways from 6 June, and the Jungfrau Railways are ready for the reopening. The hygiene and distance requirements and protection measures are based on those for public transport. Masks are required whenever it is not possible to maintain a distance of two metres.

National Marketing Campaigns

Jungfrau Railways put its marketing campaigns on hold until it was clear when the tourist railways would be able to reopen. This was due to planning uncertainties. The promotions are now starting up, and it’s the Swiss population in particular who stand to benefit. In partnership with a range of national and local partners, this selection of various offerings will make it possible to enjoy the holidays with excursions in the Jungfrau Region: the Cliff Walk on First is also available without the sea, and those visiting the Sphinx on Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe will also have a view of the Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

New Jungfrau Corona Pass for this Summer

The new Jungfrau Corona Pass is the perfect option for anyone planning any kind of excursion into the Jungfrau Region this summer or autumn. As with the Summer Season Pass, return guests can use the Jungfrau Corona Pass for an unlimited number of trips on the entire Jungfrau network, including Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, until the end of November 2020.

And as well as that, Jungfrau Railways have launched this summer the Top of Europe Pass for shorter stays. With the pass, guests can across three consecutive days enjoy an unlimited number of trips in the Jungfrau Railways area of validity. To top it all off, the offer includes a one-way return journey to the Jungfraujoch.

Positive Impulse for the Winter

Later this year, the Jungfrau Railways will deliver a positive impulse for the Jungfrau Region, the Canton of Berne and the whole of Switzerland with the opening of the V-Cableway major long-term project. The modern terminal in Grindelwald Grund connects up with public transport, a car park, shopping options and the Eiger Express 3S Cableway marks the beginning of a new tourism era.
